Check in/out:
- Check in/out time: Strictly 10:00.
- If rooms are not vacant by check-out time, guests will be charged an additional fee.
- Guests will not be checked in until the reservation has been paid for in full.
- The guest will be required to sign the registration form on arrival and copy of ID will be required and he/she agrees to the Terms & Conditions of residence and will be personally liable for all amounts arising from the residence of him/her self and / or his/her party at the Guesthouse.
- Normal Check In time starts at 14h00, but every effort will be made to accommodate earlier or later
- Check Ins (if arranged in advance).
- No Check in after 8pm (unless payment done in advance and guesthouse notified)
- Checkout time is before 10am.
- Please tell us in advance if you require a later
- Checkout and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request.
- The cost for replacement of lost room keys or damaged locks is applicable and to be paid immediately.
Cancellation Policy:
- All reservations and cancellations to be in writing by WhatsApp or e-mail.
- A 50% cancellation fee will apply on the full booking should cancellation occur between 5 and 3 days prior to arrival.
- A 100% cancellation fee will apply on the full booking should cancellation occur in less than 2 day prior to arrival.
- All deposits and payments refunded is subject to a 20% handling fee
- Cancellation fees apply irrespective whether the required deposits have been paid

- Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third parties are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies and for assistance.
Booking Policy
- Please make advance booking via telephone or WhatsApp to assure room availability. A deposit is required to obtain a confirmed booking
- The Guesthouse booking policy for reservations booked through Offline Reservation i.e via WhatsApp The Guest House requires: An initial deposit of one night’s rate for the booking in order to secure it.

Valuables, security and storage:
- A safe-deposit box is available in the Guesthouse for all guests.
- The management is not responsible for lost items. Please lock the doors when you leave.
- Although the guesthouse management takes responsible steps to ensure the safety and security of all guests and their possessions, guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security.
- Keep rooms locked at all times when absent.
- Do not leave any valuables inside your car while it is parked. SM Africa Guesthouse cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any such articles while your car is parked.
Common areas:
The living room, swimming pool and barbecue are common areas of the house and guests are encouraged to use them to their need or recreation, nevertheless there are some rules to abide by:
